Hi there, if you feel like watching something rather unique on Halloween evening, then I strongly suggest you pick Rope, a movie directed by Alfred Hitchcock in 1948.
It might happen that you have a cinema-lover friend obsessed by long shots, or another one saying that editing is everything, well if this is the case give them the Rope DVD and you will end up having some really interesting conversations with them! Rope is in fact one of the least edited feature films you will ever see, which, in itself, is already an excellent reason to watch it; also, the events described in the movie are happening in real time.
I was not particularly attracted by the title, but then me and Teb decided to watch it and it's definitely one my favourite Hitchcock movies now. If the idea of a superbly shot perfect murder tickles your mind then this one is for you; you will be surprised by how contemporary a 60 years old movie can be.
